Also, you might not want to be dumping more money in an old cart not worth much, you can get off-lease 2008 and 2009 carts for cheap.

i bought mine for 800....its lifted nice dolphins paint scheme back seat... like the person that had it befor me worked at a golf cart place...and he customized it...like i cant explain it...

the year of the cart is 87 the batteries are 09 except one its like a year or 2 older

Can you give a picture under the set? if one wasn't replaced this could've wrecked the whole pack. make sure you get 6 new batteries, It does sound like they are bad. Read the guides on scottys site so they last more than 2 years, depending on use they can last 5-7 years taken care of properly.
