How many times have we heard 'connect a DVM to the pack and drive around...'
Well ~
This old meter has been taped to the battery terminals for the last time... I have several meters so this old reliable becomes a charger monitor or test drive meter. The nice thing is with a screw driver I can release the clamp and no damage done to the original pointy end...

What have you got? It doesn't have to golf cart related...

I got tired of the 20 inch long test leads and the meter
falling over so I made some 36 inch leads, thinking about
a 60 inch black lead.

To get a bearing race out, weld around the inside circumference of the bearing race. When it cools it'll fall right out....most of the time. When the weld puddle cools it shrinks taking the race with it.

Throw a race in the freezer for a few hours. Take em out right before install. Insert VERY quickly.

To test a Pot go to radio shack and get a 0-10k pot or 5k pot. Grab some alligator clips and wire. Wire it all up and you have a handheld throttle pot to test with.

I have heard the welding on the race thing ~ never seem to have the race and welder at the same place

Go to the carpet store and grab some scraps out of their dumpster cut to 3 x 4 ft they make great mats to crawl under the truck or cart for service and repair work.

When I was younger working on lawn mowers and go carts I would use the metal band that held like a stack of bricks together for a ring compressor, you would have to do one at a time, but it worked just with useing a plain pair of pliers to squeeze it together.
