Default Are you switching off your DC converters?

I have a 48V to 12V converter that I am looking at ways to switch it off. I have considered a battery disconnect or even finding a 48V relay that I could trigger with a switch perhaps.

Anyways, I am curious to see what you are doing to make sure your DC converters aren't running whenever the cart is parked.

i leave mine on 24/7, but a lot of people just tie it into the ignition switch

Nope, not a big deal unless you leave it sitting untouched for months. (Some cheapos are worse about that)

I put mine on a toggle and turn it off every night.

Thanks! I didn't think it was a big deal. I have a Lester Summit II smart charger hooked up so I think that will keep the battery where it needs to be.

Mine has a trigger wire that goes to the ignition switch. Drain is minimal when the ignition switch is off.
