Star 2007 JHB48 electrical problem
Good morning, I need a little assistance please. My neighbor has a 2007 Star 48V electric golf cart. The problem is it will not go. I assumed it was the main solenoid that supplies power to the controller (curtis mod# 1268 ). The solenoid will click on and then right back off like its not sealing in. When I read across the control side posts I get 0 volts. But when I read from Battery Neg post to either control post on the solenoid I get 48V. The longer I looked at this last night the more confused I got. I did check the F/R switches and they are good. I also checked the "gas pedal" POT and it was reading 0 to 5K ohms. I feel that the main solenoid is shorted but am second guessing myself. Can someone point me in the right direction please.

Re: Star 2007 JHB48 electrical problem
I worked on a 2010 version about 6 years ago and had to replace the same controller. I found this drawing for troubleshooting. Don't remember much about it but thought this might help a little.

Thank you, that will help a lot. I was just tracing wires in the dark last night.
