Hydraulic lift for DC golf cart
I’m looking for ideas about using a hydraulic lift to lift a 1996 EZGO TXT to be able to work on it standing up. I’m too old and crusty to be able to crawl around on the floor with floor jacks and jack stands anymore. I’ve been looking at the Harbor Freight motorcycle lift as a possibility. Is anyone currently using a lift to pick up their carts to work on them?

Re: Hydraulic lift for DC golf cart
I put in a two post lift when I built my garage. Best 1400 dollars I ever spent. lol I got a Titan 9000. Friends helped put it in. Works great for golf carts or cars and trucks. Harbor Freight does not have anything that will help much. You will still have to lay down to work on a cart.

I have this motor cycle lift and it works great with the cart to. It goes about 2 foot higher than it is in the picture. My friend in the pic is 6.1

Hydraulic lift for DC golf cart
I have the harbor freight motorcycle lift table. I took off the foot pedal and converted the piston to work remotely from a power pack that I had. I left a recess in my floor for it when I was pouring the concrete and the lift table sits flush when it is down. I then welded 4 square tubes (like a trailer hitch) on the bottom of the lift. I made extensions for each side that slide into the tubes and make it 16” wider on each side for working on anything I want.
You’re probably going to put it on an existing floor... but adding extensions is easy and will give you the best “bang for your buck” Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Any pics of it lifting your cart? Are the platform arms long enough to reach across the golf cart? |

Are you able to use jack stands on that table to get the suspension to hang free? |

I’ll have to take some pics when I get home from camping. (Couple weeks) but yes. You can use jack stands. I use a small light scissor jack (like my camper stabilizer) between the lift and what I want to jack up. Put a socket on your cordless drill to operate the jack and it’s super easy. [emoji6]

Re: Hydraulic lift for DC golf cart
That lift is around $1500 but it's well worth it. No the arms do not reach all the way across the cart. I had some square stock that slides in the tubes on the lift to extend them. I use it for a lot of things. love it. I couldn't live with out it. I can stand up and work on my cart and my Harleys
