As to Lochlins comment. He is right, an electric fuel pump can work fine. I prefer the pulse pumps simply because I have people bring me carts to repair on which they have put an electric fuel pump (usually one with too much fuel pressure) in an attempt to repair the actual issue (usually crank seals). The pulse pumps probably are a bit more finicky. So if you use an electric one, just make sure its low pressure and is wired correctly. I also wouldnt recommend an electric pump in conjunction with a cheap aftermarket carb. Those things have float and needle problems aplenty without any help from an electric pump. |
