What is your Top Speed (GPS verified only)
As title shows, list em and the mods to get you there and rough cost!
Ill start: 2012 EZGO RXV Stock motor Stock gears. Mods: 18s lithium nissan leaf batteries (75.6v) Navitas Tac2.0 AC controller 400amp 72v solenoid 206/65r10 tires Cost: ~1600 usd Performance: Drags the rear step on launch every time Top end is 42mph on flat ground. Background: Got into a FB debate with an individual claiming that throwing $1600 USD at ANY cart will have it standing on the bumper wheeling on the way to 42 mph....and that there are electrics doing that kind of performance "all over the place" as he put it. He even cited here. So what the hell lets find out!! |

If your going to try to prove something dont lie to try and schew the results. My debate was not the finite number of $1600, because you clearly got a deal on your parts. Its that with that kind of work; high power controller and voltage of that 75v lithium pack, many carts will do 40+ not just the rxv

Oh that's right you are full o crap and your cart doesnt have a snowballs chance in hell against any RXV even without lithium with a simple controller swap. Hell a STOCK RXV witha programmed curtis will laugh at 28mph. And whilst on the subject Im a gear swap away from 50+ mph. 16.99 to a 10.5 gear will do that with an AC drive system |

Re: What is your Top Speed (GPS verified only)
Neither of you are “lying”, calm down!
This is a silly squabble, but a great idea as a resource for people looking for speed, and ways to get there. My current setup: 2002 Western 400 (EZ-GO TXT Chassis) Series cart 48v Trojan Led Acid (2 months old) Custom High Speed Motor (from local builder) Alltrax 600a DC controller (of course upgraded solenoid, 2g cables, etc.) 8:1 gears 20.5” Wheels (14” wheels + tires) I purchased the controller, solenoid, and wires from ScottyB along with his reverse setup and some other stuff. If I isolate the core items, my setup was about $1600; add the wheels/tires, and I’m at $2100. Top Speed on flat, using ways app: 40mph Top Speed, down hill before I ran out of room, according to my radar tuned Exray: 43mph I will be installing LiFePO4 as soon as I figure out what direction will get me the farthest range, my setup drinks a lot of juice at these speeds... I’m thinking I’ll need to spend at least $2500 on the lithium setup, if I build it myself... |

Re: What is your Top Speed (GPS verified only)
For what it's worth:
To Scotty B's point, 40mph in a golf cart can be super sketchy -nay, IS super sketchy, but some carts handle it better than others. My buddy has an AC drive system on a $15k+ luxury cart that will go 35mph in street mode. In his cart, 35 scares me pretty good, even when I'm driving; in my cart 40 doesn't scare me at all, actually it's pretty stable. I have no idea why there is such a difference, but it's drastic. Just saying, before you spend the dough to get to 40mph, you might want to experience it somewhere. It's kinda like going 100mph on a Harley... |

Re: What is your Top Speed (GPS verified only)
You really have no life to keep harrassing me over multiple internet forums. If you really have such an obession with me, quit crying like a baby through your keyboard, ill send you my address, and you can Just come meet up like and we can have a discussion like a men. This will be my last comment buying into your troll-ish behavior.
Now back To the point someones already posted what i stated, 40mph is possible with a huge over voltage lith pack and controller, so youre point is deaded right there. Your screen shot shows nothing considering you stated what you paid for parts after my comment. Good luck with that gear swap in your rxv, thats a GREAT idea. Lmao |
