Stretch?

OK, I have made a few bucks this weekend (gunsmithing) and I wanna get down to buying a "long travel" front end (I'll be fabbing my own rear lift). This is going on the "tree climber" as my wife calls it:



I have a line on a couple beater carts and two rollers (from my WTB ad) so I will be getting another frame soon.......

Here's the question:

The Strech Plastics front end looks like a pretty good deal (I found a new black or silver not chrome plated) for $699.00 plus $50 shipping. I like the way it goes on and the brush guard. So who here has comparative experience? Or has one and can tell me the pros and cons?

Nah Hoof! Not tough, I had a thread out on some lift and I think all the regulars are out camping or doing the weekend family thing! Give it a couple hours and the site may start to "warm up"

some people read, but just don't have the answers that you are looking for. still waiting to go to long travel on my big block cart. wish i would have done that FIRST!!

I have read good things about the Strech Plastics lift. The design looks solid to me. From what I have read, chrome is not so good on those, so going with the black is a sound decision (chrome tends to get rock chips and rust when used off road IMO). Hope no one got hurt bending the original frame

One of the reasons that you are't getting a ton of responses is because the Stretch kit isn't all that common. If you want firsthand experience in your responses you will have to wait until someone who's used it see's the thread. It looks like a good kit and from what I read it's a good kit but I'm sure you already know that Hoof. Be patient, the answers will come.
