Default what is this cushman??

i hope this is in the right spot, sorry if its not. i got this in on trade, the only numbers that i can find are/ 826307 that is on the safty tag on the dash the other # 638988 is under the seat. it has an 8 hp engine on it (dosent run.....yet) it is green has 4 wheels, and it weighs a TON!!!! also has forward and reverse only. has a dump box. i cant find any info on this cart at all. all the ones that i do find have a 2 or more cylinder engines on then. ill post pics tomarrow

Sounds like an early Golfster with a box. Mine is a 1972 all steel four wheel with a 8 HP Kohler. Foward and reverse. Model 898101. H.

Yours is a model 826307 Built in 1963. Serial number 638988. They were made for ticket maids and as turf trucks.

that great, thanks guys. any idea of how lighten it? i know cut some of the metal off, but not sure. also has anyone shortened one? id like to take about a foot out of the center. just spit ballen here, lookin for some ideas.

ok sorry about the night pics, but here they are. this engine i stole from my snowblower. i had to drill and tap the shaft. then i got every thing mounted and started it up, NO GO the clutch wouldnt engage. tore the clutch apart and cleaned it up, put it back on, and away we go. untill it stalled. back to it tomarrow.

You were very lucky on the clutch. Mine came apart. Looks like a weld broke.

Wow, that thing is solid steel. Looks like it is still in really good shape. Hardly no rust even around the battery. Should be a great project.
