Default QuiQ 910-4800 battery charger doing continuous "recycling" when plugged-in to charge

Hi Friends,
I have in my 48V. Columbia ParCar Eagle a QuiQ 4818 (Model# 910-4800). One week ago I changed all 6 year old Trojan-105D batteries because they were no longer good and replaced them with DEKA GC10 Pro Master. Today I noticed that when plugging the charger to charge my new batteries, the charger recycles (lights up and down, starts and immediately again, lights up and down and so forth). What can be wrong with the charger? It is not charging the batteries... I made a short video of the charger showing what it is doing but find no way to uploaded on this forum.

Good possibility you need to change the charging algorythm for your new batteries. It could already be loaded into the charger, you may need to enable it.

Attached: instructions for changing algorythm, if already loaded.
Attached: List of algorythms fro Delta Q. I don't see your battery number.
I don't see your battery listed. You may need to contact them for help.

Hey PingEye3, Thanks for the quick reply and information. Yes, I don't see the algorithm for DEKA GC10 either, I will write them an email tonight and see if they can clarify or solve my problem. Thanks a lot!

That sounds like a very familiar issue. The older chargers had a known issue with a bad solder joint on the shunt that is fairly easy to correct.

If you look back a page or so in the forum you will find a post on this topic and what I did to correct it.

Good luck.
