Default New Seats

I am building new seats for my 98 Club car DS. I am wondering if there is any reason why I can not leave the armrest frame off of the bottom cushion. I am upgrading the bottom board to 3/4 ply so I do not see a structual problem. Please tell me if I am missing something in my thinking. Thanks

Personal preference, but if you ever do any speed mods you will appreciate the fact that they are there. Helps hold you and yours in the cart....

I can make only one comment about leaving arm rest off. They are there to help hold people inside cart on rough ground etc and COULD cause a possible law suit against you in case of an accident? In this day and age of suing over everything I would think twice about removal? Many people in my area are installing seat belts because of this problem.

But on the other hand, if you're thinking about getting rid of your wife... just saying...

I have seat belts on the front and back seats of my cart!
