New To Me DS
I just purchased, a "I believe 2000" CC DS. The Serial # is A0027-902683, for all those don't mind lending some advice, I'm all ears. I bought it sight unseen because I felt like it was a great deal when looking at the used cart market. Well they told me when I pick it up, that the charger doesn't charge the batteries, but they charged them individually. to get it to run. Well it works, and I figure I know enough to be dangerous and can get it in prime running condition again. Well we get home and it barely moves, my main question is, where should I start? Thanks for all advice.

First thing, check the voltage of the batteries.

Post some pictures, dangit. We loves the pictures. These guys are pros and will get you running in no time. How old are the batteries? Yes it's a 2000. If it's 36v and needs batteries, might be a good time to convert to 48v.

It's 48 and the batteries are fairly new, 2016. I work for a power distribution company and yesterday we were in the middle of a hurricane, so I've had no time to really troubleshoot.

4 years old is pretty old for batteries, especially if they're not high quality. I don't know who makes those particular batteries. You really need to check pack and individual voltage, but I suspect Mooncarter is right. Simple Green will clean up the seats, and when you're ready, recover kits are pretty inexpensive.

Re: New To Me DS
I’ll check voltage and clean it up when I get home today. What I want the most though is to get rid of the rear seat and back to the original club holders. I’m having the hardest time finding a basket and original club straps though. Everything I see seems to be made to add to a rear seat.

Maybe you can find someone that wants to swap with you locally.

Post a Want to Buy (WTB) in the Golf Carts and Parts section of the forum. I'm betting someone has removed the basket/straps to put in a rear seat and still has them in the garage. I have a set for a 1990 but they wouldn't fit your cart. You may also want to contact a few of your local golf cart shops. They may have the parts for the same reason.
