Re: who can do wheelies
Sportcoupe used to do wheelies, until he shattered a differential. Wheelies are awesome, but could prematurely end the life of your differential and front end parts.

Re: who can do wheelies
A stock cart off the course can do a wheelie with people on back and quickly switching from reverse to forward (series).
I have had carts that could do them just just the driver fom a dead stop. I don't recommend it due to the damage that could occur. I broke front suspension and rear end gears. |

'This Guy' - I built it with a SPM800. It is quick.. No posi can be interesting (sometimes doesnt wanna go straight) The crummy pic is a screen grab from a video, for some reason no one wanted to stand in front of it after this vid.

Re: who can do wheelies
My old big ezgo would do them. As long as you held the go pedal down too. Scraping the foot rest of the rear seat using it as a wheelie bar of sorts. I stripped 3 brake hubs and broke 2 rearends with that cart. It was a torque monster.

Re: who can do wheelies
High center of gravity and tall tires also make doing wheelies easier.
My tires are shorter than stock and have non-aggressive treads, so the tires loose traction before the front tires come completely off the ground, and I had to select the gentlest throttle response curve and back off on the throttle up ramp so I could takeoff from a standstill on grass without spinning the tires. By the same token, I don't have to worry about flipping over backwards when climbing steep hills. |
