charger voltage output for 48v CC
Hi, can someone tell me how to check out a 48v CC charger .I think you have to bypass the relay inside to check the output at the plug, but i'm not sure how and what should the voltage read?

Re: charger voltage output for 48v CC
FIRST AND FOREMOST MAKE SURE BATTERY CHARGER IS UNPLUGED FROM GOLF CART AND FROM THE WALL. Take the wire from the Circuit Breaker to relay off at the Circuit Breaker, then the wire from relay to transformer off at relay, and then take the transformer wire and plug into the circuit breaker. This will allow the charger to have power to the plug that plugs into the cart when the charger is plugged in. DO NOT PLUG INTO CART WHEN WALL PLUG IS PLUGGED IN.

Re: charger voltage output for 48v CC
Check your battery voltage while charging (under load) and the charger voltage should be around 52-54 volts as Shadowman has stated.

Re: charger voltage output for 48v CC
OK , I'll try that. I was just bench checking it to make sure it works. My buggy's flat line, just got it back from the shop, they wanted my first born to repair it ,a new controller, OBC & labor $1200. It's a 2001,48 volt regen.(they said probably lighting,)I had already replaced the solenoid.I think I'm going to try to change it over to a series model.the parts are cheaper and easier to find.my stock 225 controller is $600 alone. has anybody done this? is it worth it.

Re: charger voltage output for 48v CC
If you have the ability to convert it to series? Use the same talent to repair it. Why buy a motor? Just buy a controller and obc batteries and u are good to go.....
