EX-GO Eletric Motor Grinding
I have a 2004 EZ-GO Electric Limo golf cart. I have changed the gear box fluid and put new in. I took the Motor apart and on the end of the motor is a bearing.
My question is this. Is there a Bearing Bushing or something that is suppose to go against the metal housing at the end. It looks like to me the bearing is grinding into the metal housing. I have put Grease around the bearings and it is not as bad as it was. Thanks |

Re: EX-GO Eletric Motor Grinding
no there is not. that bearing fits tight into the alum housing. if the bearing is spinning in that housing than that bearing needs to be replaced since it is locking up. I repalce bearing in motors quite frequently.

Re: EX-GO Eletric Motor Grinding
Thanks. I did replace the bearing as it seemed to be moving in the housing. It is running a lot better now. Only a 20 dollar fix and 1 hour of labor. Not too bad
