Default Need some ideas

Well, I need to find something to do with my time and I figured I want to get a personal golf cart, whether I build it or buy one and modify it.

I need some opinions on whats better to do. Money is not an issue and I figure that buying one would be easier/cheaper, but thats not the reason why I want one.

Would buying each little piece of a golf cart and assembling them be fun?
Are there some parts out there that are no longer made so I could not build my own if I wanted?

Just something to think about, I guess. I personally only like lifted golf carts because the normal ones are too low for my taste.

Thanks.

RU Does the tire hold air? Can I use a 48 volt motor?
Crazy I think you would do best with at least a rolling chassis a little newer that parts and accesorys are avaiable for.

I'm sure the tire holds some air, do you need it to hold pressurized air too .
All engines or motors will fit with a little effort.
It's made from real Canadian steel mined by dwarfs in the Yukon, what more could you want.

Build it yourself, that is the most fun part. I would go with a gas cart. You can send me a check for the advice. I will PM you the address.

Not that i'm trying to talk you out of building one, it's is fun and all but. I've always had more fun riding them around while enjoying a few adult beverages in the process. If money is no object get 2 of them, one to ride, one to build.

Ah ha, there's genius in action. Then switch the two so you can ride the new one and re-do the old one!

I just about finished re-doing my entire ELECTRIC cart (gotta put the roof and seats on). So, I tell the wife I'm having trouble deciding on a color combo for my next cart... she says make sure it'll match the color of your tombstone!
