![]() Anyone running a 22hp - 23hp Kohler Command?
They mostly seem to have a 1" shaft and used motor prices are good |

As far as use in a cart? Any large Vtwin is going to be a good powerplant. I've never used one, but I would if I ran across the opportunity! 23hp is 23hp the way I see it. Most Vtwins of this size are going to have tons of low rpm torque, great for a golf cart with big tires that is used off road climbing hills and such. I do have a friend on here that used one on his Club Car, it was a beast. It ran like a top and would do zero to 20 in a blink! His cart was geared quite low so it might have been better with a set of gears. But you'll have that on a golf cart, usually geared quite low. If you are considering a Kohler, I say go for it! ![]() |

![]() Kohler Command engines are torque monsters at much lower RPMs than a Briggs Vanguard
Kohler Command 674cc 22.50 HP @ 2400 rpm 49 TQ @ 2400 rpm 90 pounds |
