![]() Hello everyone just completed putting the engine back together and I really wanted to run the engine before I put it back into the golf cart has anyone started one of these engines on the bench? If so how did you start it? Without the starter generator mounted looking for ideas to spin the engine over to get it to start any help would be appreciated

![]() I say put it in the cart and start it and the pre mis ratio should be 32to1

![]() That's going to be way more effort than it's worth. You would need to fabricate a holder for the motor and the starter. The motor would need to be beefy as those motors put out a lot of torque. It would by much easier to just put the motor back in the cart which, really, doesn't take take all that long.
Spec oil mix is 85 to 1. A bit more or less is ok. Personally, I run 100 to 1. |
