Default My EzGo is a 98. How can I tell if its an early 98 or late 98?

I need a front axle for my cart and I've found some sites that have it but they have one part number for a early 98 and another part number for a late 98. How do I tell which one I need. My cart has a plate with a manufacture code and serial number. Can I determine the month my cart was made by these numbers?

I believe there was a square straight axle and an axle that was straight but taller than it was wide. Which one do you have?

I believe what you have is part number 70539. I think the square one will work also but not sure. I think I may have one of each so I will look and measure if I can..

Measured both a square axle and one on a 96 cart that is I believe the same as yours. It measured 2 inches tall and 1 inch thick. C chambers measured the same as well as the spindle spacing.

98s were all the same, I think back to 1995 and boxed, in 2001.5 and after they had the plate welded on it and
C shaped with the steering mech bolted to it. (workhorse being the exception)
