Default First time golf cart owner

As a new owner to a used 1996 Yahama 16E electric golf cart with limited know how, but a desire to learn, I am open to suggestions as to what I should test, replace, add on and/or repair. The cart appears to have all original equipment, with the exception of batteries and battery conductors. The purpose of the cart is neighborhood transportation.

I have replaced all batteries and tried to clean a couple conductors that had deposits at the juncture of conductor and end connectors, however, after a couple recharging we noticed one conductor was hot and actually damaged one of the battery's terminals. I have now ordered all new conductors from Genuinedeal Z, as was suggested from my previously submitted question.

What suggestions or recommendations would you have as to what additional components I should test and/or consider replacing.

Do you think the heat damage done to the battery terminal has compromised the battery? How can I test it?

Thanks for all the knowledge many of you are sharing.

Default Re: First time golf cart owner

Discovered heat damage post was loose and not making proper contact to battery core, replaced battery was replaced.

Also, replaced battery conductors with new conductors obtained from Genuinedealz.com, makes a big differents.
