Default Cart mounted charger

I’ve tried searching the forums but can’t seem to find an answer on a few things.

I’m looking for a cart mountable charger that comes with the wires to hook to the battery directly vice the ezgo plug. I have a marathon that I put a txt titan body on so the less extra parts the better for now. I looked at the summit chargers and the lzfan but can’t seem to figure out if they come with the kit to hook to the battery or if I need to hack the plug apart to wire it up.

My other question is whether or not a plug receptacle is made to fill the space where the regular cart plug would go but just have the male
Ends of the Charger there to plug an extension cord into. I saw lots for boats but none that seem to fit in the standard charger rectangle spot.

Summit chargers offer a variety of different DC plug ends as an option so you can buy what fits your cart. They also offer a hardwire, direct to battery option or you can simply make your own, it's pretty easy. For the AC plug portion you can buy a marine type receptacle that goes in a round hole then buy a piece of PVC or ABS plastic to cover where your DC port originally was and mount it in that.

Summit offers a charger to battery cordset. But be advised Summit chargers are not small.

Here is what I used when I mounted my Summit onboard and I'm sure there are others. With this model you do not need to cut the male end of your power cord off. And as a word of caution, cutting the male end of your power cord off could void your warranty.

I was noticing the same. I’m wondering if other brands may be better suited for mounting. They don’t seem to be as user friendly with other cable option connectors though.

Is that just mounted to the normal plate that goes on the cart for charging?

I bought a piece of ABS plastic and cut it the same shape as the original receptacle so I didn’t have to cut a new hole.

I think that may be what I have to do. I’m looking more at the lzfan chargers as they seem to have good reviews and are a smaller form factor than the summit.

I have no experience with them and have never heard of them before. Are the programmable for different charging algorithms? Different battery manufacturers have different recommendations for charging profiles. What is their customer support like if you have a problem?
