Ebay roof rack
Hey guys I thought i would show this because i know a few people have been making there own , and most pre made ones are to costly for what you get. I priced out some material to build my own and figured 50 to 70 dollars not including powder coat. I found this one on ebay shipped for just over $80. Its made of aluminum and plastic so its pretty light. Sorry about the messy background i have the carb off so couldnt get it outside for better pics yet.

Thats pretty slick. What are the dimensions on that rack?Did you cut it down or is that how you got it?I like it and if I had a cage on my cart i would look into that.

Re: Ebay roof rack
Its as is right now 50 long by 38 wide. I thought about cutting it down a bit but think ill leave it. Would not be hard to do if you wanted it a bit smaller.

Re: Ebay roof rack
That's cool and a great price! Looks like it would fit nicely on top of my existing ezgo top. I may have to pony up. Thanks for the heads up.

Re: Ebay roof rack
The mounting bars are included that help mount it to prett much anything. I figured for the price and time it takes to built my own it was worth a try. Ill hopefully get it finish mounted this weekend.

Re: Ebay roof rack
I like that cargo rack. Would it be easy to make a top to wrap around it in place of using a factory top? I have a custom built roll cage on my workhorse and have been trying to decide the best route for building a top. This looks like something that might work for what I need. My cage is longer at the top than most because we designed it to extend past the seats to help protect us when it rains.

Re: Ebay roof rack
I picked up material and snaps at JoAnns to make a bikini style top. Justntryin to do so much stuff i havent gotten to it yet. Im planning on making it wrap over bars and snap to itself so it will be removable.

Re: Ebay roof rack
Looks great.
I searched for this online and could not find it. Would you mind sharing how/where to find this inexpensive rack? I've been throwing our beach chairs on top of the plastic roof and need a better option... Many thanks |
