Re: 2pg motor
Look for an 'Anaerobic' sealer, I don't remember what brand I used and I'm sure everyone has their own opinions on which one is best... I know mine came with a primer to prep the mating surfaces first.

Re: 2pg motor
Are you talking about the lower rod bearing?

Re: 2pg motor
Yep like CA posted you'll need a bearing puller, When I did mine all three bearings stayed in the case although it didn't matter as I replaced the crank anyway.....
Something for you to keep in mind; Since you're digging into it this far you might consider getting a complete engine rebuild kit, I got mine for $320ish and ya get new everything except case and head. My main concern for you is it'll still have a 30 year old lower rod bearing, Another option is if you have a decent engine rebuild shop in your area the crank can be pressed apart and a new bearing installed, But considering the cost of that you're just that much closer to getting; New crankshaft and rod with all 4 new bearings New seals New cylinder New piston with wrist pin, pin bearing and rings All New gaskets etc..... Here's a link to my rebuild http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/gas-e...e-rebuild.html |

Re: 2pg motor
I wish I would have went that route. I bought piston and cylinder and gaskets. And the 3 bearings and seals. Cannot find the lower rod bearing I need it. Only can find it with the crankshaft. If someone can help me find it or the part number would be nice.
