Default Ezgo cart will not move

My cart will not move after shorting out two prongs on charging port while changing. Solenoid not clicking so installed new solenoid still no clicking or cart movement. I am getting 48v on both small terminals on Solenoid as soon as I turn key switch to on position, and from what I have read you shouldn't get 48v until you pres the gas pedal. Thx

You didn't mention which of the drive types (Series, Sepex or AC) you cart has, but with some of them you get battery pack voltage (B+) to the solenoid coil when the key is turned on (along with some other things) and pushing the pedal applies B- to the other side. With those drive types, before the pedal is pushed, you will measure pack voltage on both small terminals.

What type drive does your cart have?

Make sure the wires are good and all wires are connected and batteries are up to date, I know this states the obvious but my old cart did this a few years ago and the wires were not connected correctly

See attached chart.

Yeah I'm thinking maybe blue wire that comes from charging port to the solenoid may have shorted out when I arched out the two prongs on charging port. Cause now when I plug charger in I get a fault. Batteries are brand new.

Sounds like you need to replace the charging port.

I have already replaced it, can the resistor on the solenoid be the issue I get a 4v difference from the battery side to the controller side I read that you shouldn't get more than 3 or the resistor is bad.Any thoughts on this.

The new charging port may have been destroyed when the the prongs were shorted. There is a 30A fuse on the potting compound PCB that cannot be replaced. (See attached pictures of board with compound dug off)

Also the voltage source fro the blue wire might have been whacked.

A 4V drop across the solenoid's large terminals is close enough.

I shorted out the old charging port not the new one. Where does the blue wire get voltage from?
