Default Vegas carts billet V belt pulley with CV Tech clutch on Vanguard?

So I'm swapping an 18hp Vanguard twin into my Ezgo TXT and want to use an external Denso mini alternator to provide more charging power. Id like to use the billet V belt pulley that Vegas Carts sells mounted on the crank behind the primary clutch but I'm not sure if there is enough room behind the clutch to allow this. Has anyone done this while using the CV Tech clutch that comes with the Vegas Carts big block swap kit? Any help or advice with this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I had spoke to Aaron on that subject when he was still at VC and his answer was somewhat vague BUT that was when they had just stared with the CVTech. You might want to call them directly as I would guess they have more experience now as what will work.

The pulley was made for that and with most clutches you don't have to bottom the shaft all the way into the clutch for them to work properly. That said I don't know, but it should work. Stock clone cranks are pretty long. Another option is to dig around some lawn setups use a pulley on the fan side you just need the mount that goes in there to put a pulley on, or for example briggs makes a stub shaft that bolts on the flywheel you can mount anything shaft to it.

Just bear in mind the CVtech is about an inch wider than the comet 780 which is what the original question here was about. The set up with the comet 780 was and is being used all the time with both clones and Vtwins.
