Brake Light Help
I have a 1991 DS and wanting to add brake lights. I see there are many switches and kits. Just wondering what some of you guys have done? I need the brakes for the island we frequent.

Re: Brake Light Help
Use a generic push button switch with rubber boot over button on the brake pedal right under the locking portion of the pedal as close to the center as possible.
You can find them at any speed shop, Ebay or even rear engine Snapper riding mowers use them. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Starter-Swi...EAAOSwDk5TuJlm |

Re: Brake Light Help
I went with a universal motorcycle switch I got off am amazon. Been in three years so far with no problems. Its driven year round through water, mud, and snow. Hooked it up to the equalizer bar.
Don't know what a DS has under it, but you might make it work for you. 0509191320a.jpg 0509191347.jpg |

Re: Brake Light Help
Won't that cause your brake lights to stay on when your brakes are in lock position?

Re: Brake Light Help
The cut out was built into the light control. I have no idea of the brand of light kit. My golf cart guy had the complete kit in storage for years. He likes my homemade sausage a lot so we traded. Got the lights for pennies on the dollar.
