Default Re: Educate me on Star Carts

Re-upping an old thread. Thoughts on Star? I am in the market for a new cart and the Star Cappella (and Sirius) check off a lot of boxes for me - speed to 25, 4 seats, seat belts, ergonomically comfortably, nice look/paint. My biggest worry is reliability, that’s what is giving me pause. I am coming from a CC and it’s been bulletproof.

Right now I am considering both models of Star, EZgo RXV Elite (lithium) and a Yamaha Drive2

Features (Star) versus perceived reliability (EZgo and Yamaha)

I got all excited when I purchased my 2019 Star Siruius...but was rapidly
disappointed....

Many many issues from the get go...with multiple trips to the dealer
for warranty service. The same problems would reoccur due
because of poor quality parts....

Brake sensor pad under brake pad ...cart would die with full battery pack
charge...brake squeal..brake drum out of round...parking brake failure,
major clunking as if swing arm were loose ...This is supposed to have
been Star's top of the line greatest and bestest...turned out to be a royal
piece of junk...

Star parts are very slow in shipping from Star...dealer doesn't stock...

Instead consider ICON or the big 3...

Thanks - I had seen some of your other posts and I got cold feet on the Star cart.
While the features that come standard are really nice and the price point of the Star was attractive, the reliability factor was too much to overcome. I am sticking with Club Car and just placed an order for an Onward
