I have been bit by the 4 link bug.. [emoji1785]

I dont know **** about suspension so here is a small but growing collection of videos I found to be helpful and to the point.

I'm left with a question... Any 4 link video I've watched is concerned about pinion angle. With electric carts we dont need to worry about this. I would assume we can benefit greatly from that but I dont know how yet...

I dont intend on doing any extream off roading but I would like to improve ride quality and the ability to curb hop with out launching my cooler into outer space!

I want my setup to be 100% bolt on at first. I have all intentions of welding it together later but I want to be able to test adjust and repeat until I'm happy with it.

Any ideas for shocks? I'm wanting 7 to 8 inches of travel.

Me too, me too ! I have been thinking of of a 4-bar rear also. ‘Cause I don’t have time to build an IRS. Won’t live that long . . . Thanks Jkerle-
Pinion angle wouldn’t matter on a gas cart either, since the engine travels with the rear-end on a common carrier, right?

I am in no position to give advice at this point. lol I've never had or worked on a gas cart.

In the case of a cart,gas or electric,Pinion angle is meaningless,it only comes into play with driveshafts,since as you accelerate,the pinion "climbs",less angle,less vibration,more axle-wrap,more "climb" and also affects traction due to housing twist.The biggest concern on carts is maintaining ground-clearance,and preventing excessive engine-angle on some models,due to Splash-Lube oil systems.On Electric-Carts,its pretty much an open game,there really arent any factors to worry about.Hope this helps.

Looking forward to seeing how you do this!

The only thing I see as being of concern, is the cables coming from the motor. Some thought will need to go into managing them. Need to be long enough for full articulation, but also keep in mind how they will bend and where they will go when the suspension "bottoms out".

BBBHC made a good point,Especially watch cables and wiring harnesses.On Gas carts,the Choke cable is very unforgiving,especially on Yamaha's,its barely long enough stock.Brake cables can be extended with a longer clevis-rod on most carts,then relocate the cable-stay bracket as needed.
