Maddog-
This is the other switch fix that I was telling you about along with the one Jeggers has posted. http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/gas-c...witch-fix.html Not sure which option you would want to run with...either one should be doable although the one Jeggers used should be fairly straight forward and I can fabricate a mount plate for it fairly easily I would think. |

Re: par car f/off/r
I kind of agree, though I haven't had my second cup of coffee yet. Those solenoids Straw used are kind of pricey but His fix is definately a good way to cure the Columbia switch. I have no idea why Columbia is dragging their feet.

Re: par car f/off/r
hey everyone, new to site, looks like plenty of good info. I just bought a new forward/reverse switch for an 89 par car. It already had a cheap aftermarket switch that went bad. Now I'm trying to match up wires marked F1, F2, A1 and A? How do they correlate back to switch letters? Thanks for any assistance.

Cheap switch for these? Sounds like you have the wrong kind of switch. A replacement switch is over $100 last time I looked. Do you have a pic of the switch?

Re: par car f/off/r
I had it wired up to toggle switch that just let it go forward. I broke down and finally bought the nice 100 replacement switch, but can't figure out which wires go where.
