Smile Question on Batteries 2

Okay I charged the batteries after 18 holes and the voltage was
38.4 volts for the pack. Individual batteries 6.41, 6.41, 6.40, 6.40, 6.35, 6.36.

Seems a little drop in two batteries.

Take another set of readings in the morning and compare them.

Cray - What IS the concern here? I see we have a second thread started, but why? If your cart runs and drives well, goes 18+ holes of golf without any issues, I just don't understand the need for all this testing?

I think that you should use it for a few more days to see how it continues to operate. If there is a problem, then post it. I think you may be getting too deep into something that may not even be an issue?

The only thing that confuses me here is the 100 minutes rating,...If it is to indicate the run time before they require charging, you are right on the money and actually better. 10 minutes to golf course, 60 minutes golfing 10 minutes back. That makes 80 minutes of drive time with 50%- 60% left. If that rating indicates something else, I should shut up. I checked the interstate and trojan site and couldn't find the definition. That's all I wanted to say!!!

The minute rating on batteries is not "drive time". It references the "Discharge rating" in minutes at full capacity. In a discharge test minute, you average 2 to 3 minutes per hole. This is why you will always see me posting in discharge test / readings. Not volt meter or hand held load test. Nothing wrong with those methods - they are the only "quick" tests and affordable tools. A discharge machine can run $500.00+, PLUS the only way that EZGO warranty will replace a bad battery / batteries. I've seen some funky things in dealing with battery carts. A discharge test is the only "no guessing" battery checking method for me

No need to close! Let's just wait to see what really needs to be discussed!
