Default Navitas - Wow!

I'm new to the cart world, but have learned a lot on here. I have a 2010 RXV that had a stock Danaher controller. I was getting 14 mph at the most. I couldn't find a Curtis conversion kit for a reasonable price and available. I decided to go with the Navitas controller for price, availability and ease of installation. I'm now up to 26 mph on stock tires without any adjustments to the programmer. Couldn't be any happier.

How much was the upgrade? Mine goes 21 mph, but I'm not sure what mods it has done to it.

I've got the Navitas 600 Amp controller for RXV with all the mounting/wiring kits and OTF controller for sale if you're still looking. PM me if you're interested.

The Navitas "600 Amp" is really a 200 Amp controller. Even a stock Curtis 235 Amp controller beats it in performance. If you apply the Navitas rating method to a stock Curtis 235 Amp controller, it becomes a 705 Amp controller. And the upgrade Curtis 350 Amp controller would be a 1050 Amp controller! The only reason the Navitas beats the stock RXV controllers is because the Curtis RXV controllers are detuned, right from the factory. Another factor is reliability... There are a lot fewer Navitas RXV controllers out on the market, and percentage-wise, the number of issues and complaints per 100 controllers far outnumber the stock controllers so far. Only time will tell which will be a better choice 5 years from now. I am willing to give Navitas the chance to prove themselves over time. All things being equal, I have seen the comparison of a "600 Amp" Navitas vs a un-detuned stock Curtis 235 Amp controller, and the Navitas was unable to deliver the same level of performance in a side by side test. The Navitas, like other aftermarket controllers, offers users the ability to tune their parameters rather easy, while Curtis requires special equipment and knowledge to do the same. I like that part of what Navitas offers.
