Default Make your own FN1 for SR Controller

Has anyone made their own "Personality" FN1 box? Looks like a simple 5K POT with 2 wires. With all the DIYer's out there, this would seem like a common project. Am I missing something here?

For what type of cart? A Precedent seemingly would be super simple as the FNR Switch seems to just complete a circuit with no true consideration for the need to handle or carry a heavy amperage load. As long as the system could support 48V conductivity, a percedent custom switch would seemingly be a easy 1 off project.

Yet another reason DS’s are harder to customize.....hahahaha.....I kid.

You're asking the right questions and making me question my plan... It's a 48 volt 1996 DS Club Car. From what I can see (on-line), the FN1 is pretty a simple diy project. I plan to build my version one this weekend. I'll have first-hand information to share by Sunday evening.

My homemade FN1 worked perfectly.

The POT has 3 small spades marked with 1,2,3
I connected the Black wire to green spade on controller, and #2 on the POT. The Red wire to the Red spade on controller and to #3 on the POT. I had to make a little Y connection as, I didn't have a double spade connector for the Red spade on the controller, which already has a wire connected to it. (Key Switch).

I set the parameters in the program so that with the knob fully CCW I'm at half speed. Fully CW I'm at 100%
