Max tire size on stock cart
What is the max tire size that will fit on the stock 8" rims and fit under a '93 Club Car without installing a lift? I want to get 4 new tires for the cart when I put it all back together.

Re: Max tire size on stock cart
that is a tricky question. I also have a 2 inch extension plate on this cart
mine are actually 20.5 inch trailer tires. flat ground, normal turning no medium bump while turning maybe is it enough to ruin tire or cart no has it worn away a very small bit of inner lip on cowl yes can you see rub marks on tires no this is also with a four passenger cart, with over 500 pounds on front seat it is really only bad when compressing front suspension while doing an almost full lock turn -Aaron |

Re: Max tire size on stock cart
Excellent. Thank you for the info.
This will be for mainly street use, and the only significant bump will be my curb going into my yard, and the speed bumps (more like mountains) they put on the streets here, so I don't think that rubbing will be a big problem. If I lift it, then I'll get new tires and wheels of some significance probably. |

Re: Max tire size on stock cart
hey I finally got a picture of my "rub issue" this shows the body rub after about 2 years of use. some here at home, but mostly at the campground. see earlier pictures for a look at whole cart. there is hd rears and single front springs on it. I don't have any wheel spacers on it just the 2 inch extension plate. keeping in mind when riding there is over 500 pounds just on front seat
rear rub marks are from b4 extension plate. about 2/3 way up there is a slight bump and then more rub. that is where it hits now that I have the plate on there. -Aaron |
