Q receptacle EZGO txt 48volt melt down
Had a melt down. Q receptacle sensor melted while driving. Cables were fairly corroded. (my neglect). batteries needing replacing. 7 years old. bulging. Stalling out. Losing power quickly. Ok. Bought new batteries, cables 2 ga, and cleaned all contacts. and bought new Q recepticle.
after replacing the above I am ready for a test drive. drive around the block very quick. I upgraded it a few years back from Scotty B. I go to plug in charger.. no dice. realized I didn't hook up sensor. ok installed sensor green light comes on without the charger and of course still does not charge. Now from what I read solid green light without charge means it is connected incorrectly. I double checked red to positives, black to negative, blue to controller, grey to positive. and to add insult to injury it will not run. I take off the sensor it will run. the batteries are at 50.4 volts neither way charges. I decided id had enough grabbed a beer and started looking for help, so here I am... HELP! |

Re: Q receptacle EZGO txt 48volt melt down
Well ended up being a bad receptacle. Got a replacement today and everything runs like a champ. It really needed an overhaul last year but never got around to it. It runs great now!
