Default Lift height recommendations for ezgo 1997 spindle or axle

So, I have been building an EZGO with my son. We are at the point that a lift is the next step. I am no expert on the subject, this is why I humbly ask for your opinion on either spindle or drop axle . Also, height. I have 14” rims with 20” tires street cart mostly. May add 23s in future, i have HD springs in front and back with stock shocks( do they do anything really) front and back.
Jakes and madjacks are the two manufacturers that have been suggested from a couple of neighbors. Pros cons any info is appreciated.

WELL IF YOU PLAN TO RUN THE WHEELS AND TIRES YOU HAVE FOR A WHILE....you have NO NEED for a lift at this time, as you can run 20 tires with no lift at all. IF in the future you get larger tires, do the lift at that time, you never can tell, you might change your mind, but its an easy bolt on. and if you do want to lift it down the road, it would depend on if you intend to do some heavy off-roading or just light, like dirt roads, established trails, that kind of thing....in which case I wou7ld go with a spindle lift, easier mod to do.

my cart is lifted with a spindle lift, I run 23" tires....and I have a 6" lift, but could get away with a 4" if I really wanted to.

Hey thanks for the reply. You are right, i can run it on the 20s , but it does rub if i turn the wheel alot. Not a big deal though. It is a project for my son and I. I called jakes and they are back ordered on the 3” spindle until late April anyhow . Might do a 4” drop axle. No plans to go off-road with it just a subdivision to and from vehicle. Grass and pavement.
How much gap do you have between the tire and fender no with the 6. They have those instock. A pic would be awesome. Thanks again

I have a 4" axle spacer lift on my 95 Medalist with 20" tires. Basically the same cart as yours. Here is a pic.

Mine's either a 3" or 4" AllSports Drop Axle. Bought it used that way, so can't comment on install.

My buddy has a 3" spindle kit that we installed. Was pretty easy outside the fact that the tie rod "wedge" was seized in and we had to cut it off and order a new end. His 3" seems much taller than mine though. I deleted the photos unfortunately comparing our heights.

My photos are a comparison of my old "23" (measure nearly 24) inch tires versus my new 20 inch. Both photos were with stock rear leafs before my Rhox install.
