Cool Governor help with 2009 Sport 2+2

I just bought a new 2009 Ez-Go Sport 2+2 and its way too slow. I've read the treads from "Ruredy" for the governor adjustment but my 2009 doesn't look like the picks or description. Can someone help me with getting more performance out of my cart? I not concerned with warranty.
Thanks for your help.

I don't know about these carts other than they're not the same. If I had to guess I would say it's a rev limiter on the kawasaki engine holding it back. You can remove the rev limiter on other kawi engines, maybe this is done the same

There is NO rev limiter on the Kawasaki in the RXV.

The only governor adjustment is via the throttle cable at the back of the engine. DO NOT take out all of the cable slack, just adjust a couple threads at a time as needed. Test drive with handheld GPS to make sure you are within factory speed setting.

The RPM's on this Kawasaki are limited to around 4000rpm's by the valve springs.

EZ-GoMike
Thanks for the advice. I followed your directions and WOW what a difference. Can you explain why you said not to take out all of the slack?

Ruredy
Thanks for your help also

Because it's WAY unsafe.

The RXV fleet car is designed to run at a governed 2450rpm.
