Re: Yamaha G3E Sun Classic rebuild
Love the cart. Trying desperately to find one. Any updates with the new controller and batteries?

Re: Yamaha G3E Sun Classic rebuild
I’m embarrassed to say it’s still sitting without a new controller and batteries. It’s been completely repainted with an automotive paint job and looks great, it’s just sitting to the side. Where are you located?

Re: Yamaha G3E Sun Classic rebuild
I’m out in California between Sac and San Fran. There are always Gas ones available but I’m looking for electric. Actually just saw someone post one a couple hours ago and I’m waiting to hear back. Any ideas on if any of the Navitas set ups would work for the G3 or G5?

Re: Yamaha G3E Sun Classic rebuild
My guess is that there’d be clearance issues with the size of the AC motor. It would probably hit the coil shock. I had to lower the rear and could barely fit the D&D I used in, but then again that’s a large motor too. It you got the dimensions of the Navitas AC motor I could measure the available space. The length specifically.
