Club Car Wiring Diagram
I've been given an old 1996 Club Car DS that still has the old, outdated resistor coil setup. I've taken the liberty of tearing it all apart and prepping it to upgrade to a more current setup complete with High Speed Motor, 500A Alltrax Controller and upgrading the V-Glide to a new 3-pin model. I do not have an OBC to worry about, but wanted to see if anyone had a wiring diagram they could share. A couple of specifics to consider is I plan to bypass the "back up buzzer" and also do not have the OBC to flow through. Just the high speed motor, alltrax controller, new solenoid, new high amp forward/reverse switch and will be adding in a diversion to a voltage reducer to power my new subwoofer, marine speakers and head unit in addition to some lighting items. Any help or advice is appreciated.

Re: Club Car Wiring Diagram
I did a similar upgrade. Dave at site sponsor http://www.revolutiongolfcars.com/, came up with my setup.
My cart was a 92 CC DS gas. I converted to electric. We decided for my setup to go with an IQ system. So he got me a 2003 wire system and an MCOR4 for throttle. You can see in my signature the rest of the drive system. I would suggest calling Dave to help you for your specific needs. |

Re: Club Car Wiring Diagram
I did thi conversion on a 02 ds. been very happy with it so far. have been using it for about a month now. removed the resistor coil setup and all wiring &started from scratch. purchased 6- 8 volts batteries and on board smart charger (lester summit 2). I didn't change the vglide, but did a modification to convert it to a 3 wire setup and throttle is pretty smooth for the most part. went with alltrax 48500 and the reversing contactor set up for the for/rev, and a hd solenoid. left the stock 36v series motor and over driving it with the 48 volt batteries. runs good no issues. gets 22mph with this setup on 22" tires.
for the most part I used wiring diagrams provided by alltrax but changed a couple of things with input of the other members here. see this post, I posted couple wire diagrams along with input from Sergio and a couple others... http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...ries-cart.html www.cartsunlimited.com is a great source for parts and scottyb's customer service is a+ |

Re: Club Car Wiring Diagram
Do you already have the controller and motor?
If you're going with a high speed motor you'll be better off to convert to a Sepex system, in which case do like BBBHC and upgrade it with an IQ wire harness and MCOR conversion. The MCOR will give you much smoother throttle control than the old pie wedge MSP. The Alltrax XCT is a direct plug in to the IQ harness. You'll have a lot less "custom" wiring modifications to have to deal with by going that route. |
