Cool 2005 g22 yamaha wont go? solenoid turns off

I have a yamaha 2005 g22 electric cart. it will move a foot or two only after you cycle the tow switch & then it shuts off including the reverse buzzer. I have tried a known good controler and solenoid and still has same symptoms. the solenoid is loosing the signal to turn on. it has 48positive signal to 1 of the small activation wires but no ground signal. what activates this solenoid. thanks in advance Ken Kens electric vehicles plano texas

batteries and cables are good. the power side of solenoid stays hot all the time even after the problem occurs. what I am needing to know is this, what switch turns on the solenoid ? thanks ken

The controller activates the "ground" side of the solenoid. Since you tried a "known good" controller and solenoid, you might want to check continuity of the wire harness to the pin conector going into the controller, very time consuming and not fun. Do you have acsess to the Yamaha "PDA/infared reader or the Zr1 tester"? You can go to the yamaha service page site and look up the owners manual. it has a wireing diagram.
