1995 Club Car won't move
Hey there. I bought a 1995 Club Car DS real cheap because it wouldn't charge. I traced the no charge issue to a bad OBC. I ended up replacing the charge receptacle as well because it was kind loose and a previous owner bypassed the fuse leading to the obc (probably why the obc got fried). While changing out the obc, one of the terminals on the solenoid cracked, so I replaced that as well. All wired up and ready to go now and it charges, but it won't move. If you hit the gas, it'll move for a brief second and then nothing. Pretty sure I wired it correctly, as I found a wiring chart to make sure. Batteries are brand new, and check out at 51 volts. Any clues on what to look at? What voltage should read across the solenoid terminals when you press the pedal?

You should get 50v between the 2 small terminals when you try to go... if not the solenoid won't activate (click) check the the micro switches at the V- glide and F&R (one furthest forward of the 3 )

Re: 1995 Club Car won't move
Thanks for ideas. I checked, and there is no voltage to the small terminals. What am I looking for with the microswitches/FR?

F&R m.s. closest to the front of the cart must have continuity (48v) when cart in gear.

All three wires that are on top have 50 volts. The springs on the bottom have no voltage in gear or out. What do I need?

Re: 1995 Club Car won't move
Thanks for previous help. Based I what I've reported, do I need an f/r switch or just need to replace micros witches?
Thanks, Jim |

Re: 1995 Club Car won't move
Do a simple continuity test on each micro switch. If they fail replace them. If you are having trouble doing a continuity test on the switches use google to find a how to video.

Tested the micro switches and they are good. Is there a test for the F/R switch?
