Yes the 3 wires with the tape on them. The red black goes to the run/tow switch, and red comes from #1 on the controller, per wire diagram.

The run/tow red/black is +48V to the key switch, which provides +48V to the controller when key is turned on and the run/tow is in run.

Are you sure that's not this thing in the upper right? I've noticed that thing too and never knew what it was for.

I've not trusted the accuracy of the diagram. Almost as if it's old/outdated, but maybe not?

I think in the monitoring software, there might be a way to check the status of that switch. Next time I play with the cart I might screw around with that.

I HAVE found another wire that I have no clue about. Under the passenger side front, behind the tube frame support down low by the tire, there's a 2-pin Molex that does something?

That’s the run/tow/EMB switch relay you highlighted. The electric brake draws too much current and is on a relay.

The two pin molex is also shown on the schematic, its the labeled “reverse alarm” on the schematic. Not sure why this was added, they elected to go with the 12V reverse alarm on the extreme left of the schematic which just sends power to the annoying horn in the battery compartment. I think the two pin molex was destined for a reverse indicator light or perhaps to send power to a backup camera.

So is this just a generic wiring harness for Toyota controllers? Sure seems like some of these connectors and “future” switches would be more suited on a forklift.

I think it was designed for several brands of generic golf carts. There are several brands based on this basic setup.

The black wire is ground on the connector. The blue wire has +5V logic on it when the key is on and must be the #2 pin on the controller. Install a rocker or key switch between the blue and black wires on the 5 pin molex connector (center in is unused) and that should be the high/lo speed switch.

Update to last post, looks like that was in error. Running the monitor software grounding the blue wire toggles the brake pedal indicator to the controller. Still searching for the elusive pin #2.

It has been confirmed, the 5 pin unused molex is for vehicles without electromechanical brake and is shown at the bottom right of the wiring schematic. It tells the controller that a manual brake is set. Back to the drawing board.
