![]() Hey guys!
Just wanted to share the project I just picked up. Its a 1996 Taylor Dunn B-248. The goal is to repair the mechanics of it first, then some minimal rust repair, and then sand blast and paint. I would like to weld stake pockets on the side to add removable sides. I know it will be a bit of a rough ride, but I will only be using it on campground roads. I wanted something "different" for the campground and this will certainly do the trick. This thing is huge at just shy of 12Ft! They guy I bought it from said it was running when he got it, but he was going to tear it down for a project but never got to it. The entire battery pack only was showing 2 volts. I have a small 2 Amp trickle charger I will charge each battery individually with to see if I can bring the voltage up enough to test the guts of the system! Fingers crossed it will run with charge batteries! ![]() Let me know what you think! |

![]() A few more pics. It has two chargers. The one that is currently wired in is 48V, but I cant imagine that is good for a 36V system. The other charger looks a bit worse for wear and has no markings. The other electrical components appear to be in decent shape, along with the wiring.

![]() here's what I did to soften ride....replaced stock front cantilever springs with leaf springs and brackets for trailers from Northern Tool......made a BIG difference in ride on rough terrain.....only took about 2 hours to do in my driveway......
rear springs replaced with Ezgo coils and drivetrain on the v-twin swap..... |
