Default StarEV with Lithium and Curtis 1268 stops after a few seconds of driving

Hey guys, we just upgraded a 10 year old StarEV LSV (Suzhou Eagle) from 8x6v lead-acid to 81Ah Lithium Kit with onboard charger.

Initially it powered up okay but after a few seconds of driving the vehicle just stops and wont drive again until the key switch is turned off and then on.

It was driving fine with the lead-acids. The batteries are showing consistent 52V so it's not the batteries dropping out. Seems to be the Curtis 1268 controller turning off. Have plugged in programmer but couldnt seem to see any fault codes.

Any ideas?

It's showing 52v while driving or is it showing 52v after you stop and get the DVM out to read the voltage?

If it's afterwards, it could be whatever batteries you used (if you used multiple in series) has one drop out due to current then by the time you check it the battery is back online and ready.

Posting more info on the lithium kit you used would be helpful.

I have the same issue with my 1268 controller cutting out, and it finally quit after a few months.

Did you resolve the issues with your 1268 controller or did you upgrade?

I do not have a programmer since they are very expensive
