Default belt heigth on drive pulley while at full speed??

up front info:

New motor (fe 290) installed today
brand new belt installed also

just had to ask,,,,had my son in law drive the cart at full speed....while I watched the pully....and the top of the belt comes to about 1/2 to 3/4 inch below the top of the drive pully....

I remember reading that to increase speed and/or power this belt needed to be at or just above the top of the drive pully...

question??:

what adjustment can/do you make to get the belt to ride higher on the pully??

I believe CPPs machining of the drive clutch allows the halves to come closer together which would let the belt ride higher for more top speed.
