I bought a replacement solenoid for my 1986 to get it back out on the road. Saving up for a 36 to 48V conversion and a newfangled controller! Just want to be ready for the 4th of July!!!

I gave it six new batteries. The old set was from June 2009. They were Eveready brand from Sam's Club.

12 years!

Got some new wheels and tires on the old DS! Traded in the AT tires for some DOT street tires to cut the noise down. It’s nice that the loudest things are now the motor or the wind, depending on speed, and the ride is nice and smooth. Noise level and ride are very similar to stock feel just on 23” tires.

Added some new rims and tires a light kit and a brake switch along with the voltage converter.
