i40 12" Wheel / Tire Recommendations
Hello all, brand new here, just ordered my i40 (standard height). It is my first cart (besides golf course rentals) and I am very excited to learn the joys and headaches of ownership.
My question is about aftermarket wheel options. The dealer mentioned that our carts require a zero offset wheel, and that severely limits the options available. I was looking to go with a 12x7 with a 215/40 tire but it seems like most of the wheels out there are 3+4 offset. Anyway on to my question... Who has upgraded the wheels / tires on their i40 (standard)? If your hand is up, please share what are you running, any issues you have faced, and if you would recommend your setup to others. Any input in this would be greatly appreciated as I am having trouble finding concrete info on this. Thank you! |

Re: i40 12" Wheel / Tire Recommendations
When I purchased my I40 non lifted I looked into 12" wheel tire combo.
Fortunately my dealer showed me that the increased wheel tire diameter combo would rub on the front fender well when turning and also going over bumps even street gutters.. I really wanted a 12' combo..but given the interference ...but I declined to make the change.. Hope this helps... |

Thanks!
I do believe it is possible with the right tire/wheel combo, but finding which combo works is proving to be difficult (since trial and error is not an option). I reached out to Golf Cart Tire Supply, hopefully they have experience with the i40. I will report back. |

I have a lifted so won't be much 1st hand help but on one of the 2 ICON facebook groups, there have been a few who have actually put 14s on and claimed to have little to no rubbing - they just also have very little sidewall.

Re: i40 12" Wheel / Tire Recommendations
Just got a new wheel and tire combo. Dealer advised they would work. Look pretty sharp, run great. Have a little rubbing when full over, doing a uturn, but I can handle it at low speed.

Interesting, they appear to be 2+5 offset on the website. Are your tires 215/40? |
