Garia Golf Cart Review
After owning my Garia LSV 2+2 Golf cart for 8 months and 400 miles, I thought I would post a review. These carts now in used form are now available in the $6K-10K bracket. I know the "Ferrari" of carts is not popular on this forum because of the new retail cost $20K-$105K, but I will take the heat. I did not pay anything near retail for ours.
Review: This is the finest golf cart I have ever seen. Period. Every detail is like you are looking on a refined sports car. All references to parts sourced same as Bentley, Aston Martin, Porsche and Saab are not exaggerated. I have had only 2 issues with this cart, both I consider minor. The transmission vent plug leaks a drop of oil every once in a while and the Trojan HydroLink was not servicing the batteries properly. Garia (Denmark) responded to both. They had Trojan send me the newest model of the HydroLink and they have sent me the new revised membrane vent plug. The ride on this cart is fabulous as it should be. The AC drive is smooth and powerful. The 4 wheel brakes are incredible. The accessories are wonderful. Sunroof, led lighting, defrosting windshield, windshield wiper and washer, refrigerator, etc. The Italian hand stitch sport seats are very comfortable. Battery life is 40+ miles during daytime, somewhat diminished with refridg and headlights on. The cart has low & high beam halogen headlights, turn signals which auto turn off, load horn and led brake lights you can see for a 1/2 mile in the daylight. The seating for the rear 2 seats are facing back. Many times we had 4 folks on cart and it has plenty of power. Speeds down the road at 25 mph with 800 lbs of folks. This cart is limited to 25 MPH by law, but could easily run near 40 mph with the 12.3 to 1 rear end gearing with motor turning 8000 RPM. The cart has a speed switch. If you set it to golf cart it is a refined golf cart that most every course would let you use. When set to LSV it is a fantastic NEV which we use to go to the stores, restaurants and visit friends. Last but not least is the automatic parking brake. When stopped in off, reverse, neutral or forward it automatically is engaged. One interesting note on motor. The motor is a 4-pole AC-induction motor, rated for 3 kW @ S1 45 min. balanced for 6000 rpm (but has no problem going to 8000). The specs are VERY conservative. The setup has been known to run at 8 kW and a peak of 23 kW (30 Hp). The cooling of the motor is very good since, the motor is made of aluminum (good heat dissipation), it has fins (larger dissipation area) and it is placed in the air flow under the car, instead of on top of the transmission. All in All I am 100% satisfied with our purchase. This has been a different golf cart purchase for me. I love working on carts, but all I have to do on this cart is mostly clean & detail this cart and of course Drive !! Re: Garia Golf Cart Review
Well, we now have 700 miles on the Garia cart. Everything has been very nice. Too nice almost, nothing to work on. No real problem yet (knock knock Murphy). Garia sent me a new vent plug which has totally fixed the problem of oil drops every once in a while from the Ducati rear axle. Garia also sent me a brand new Hydolink system. I had already source original vent caps and have not had any problems. New Hydrolink still in box. Also had an issue with one of the side mirrors starting to delaminate on one of the edges. New mirrors arrived at dealer a week later. The worst problem I have had with the cart (which is minor) was the windshield wiper motor stopped. Garia had a new motor delivered 2 days later after I asked if it was under warranty.
All in all we love the cart. It is titled as a LSV in Florida, tagged and insured. Any local running around in town we almost always take the cart. Still hoping one day that BGW starts a LSV sub forum. Would love to hear from any other Garia owners. Thanks, M |

Re: Garia Golf Cart Review
Thanks !! The Garia Customer support has been outstanding. Working on the cart, it is amazing the attention to detail of every component. Used mint Garia carts are $7500 - $11000 which put them in line price wise with Top-of-Line Ezgo or Club Car. And it has a REFRIDGERATOR !!
Thanks, M |

Re: Garia Golf Cart Review
Well we have 1300 miles on the 2+2 now. It has been outstanding. 40 Miles per charge. Going out of warranty in a few months. Looking to put a 450 amp controller in her and increase top end some after warranty runs out. Not use to the just drive it and not have to fix all the time. Considered getting a new one with the Lith pack, but waiting 3 years to go out of warranty to modify. Top speed of 25 mph from factory is lame. Seriously this cart will do 40 mph without gear mods. Crazy well built.
Thanks BGW !! M |

A local dealer just started to carry these, supposedly. Have yet to see one but I will go touch it when available.
