Yamaha G1 charger
Looking at getting a 36v electric Yamaha G1 and he said it comes with a charger but not sure if it works ?? Is there anyway to test it and see besides plugging it into the cart ?
And if it is broke where do I find another that would work |

Re: Yamaha G1 charger
are these robust enough to swap to 8 volt batteries and a 48 volt charger?

Re: Yamaha G1 charger
The chargers back then often had only a timer as a control system, if so, you can probably just turn it on & measure voltage at the plug end (should be around 45). But, this is not a great test, because if the capacitor is bad, it could still show voltage, and not charge the batteries.
You can convert to 48v, but it will shorten the life of the resistor coils. |
