Well I took the cart out to the campground and drove around for about an hour or two and had no problems. Good day.

Well my fixed sheave broke finally (I had cracked it early on trying to remove the clutch without the special tool, the JB Weld held for awhile). Decided to just get a brand new clutch for Christmas.


It still works, I just worry about the belt possibly getting hung up and damaging something internally.

If your gonna run it like that until you get a new clutch... you might as well get a new belt also!

dont run it like that it might lead to more problems. early christmas present ! work on the other motor while you wait or start a nice paint job.

I figure if that belt catches, worst-case is that it rips the driven clutch + yoke clean off the transaxle. Would be a ghastly situation.

Thanks Chris. I think I'm going to go with brand new clutch with "virgin" sheaves, though. Thanks for all your help so far.
