RXV with lithium upgrade giving non existent code
So I got a hold of a 2016 RXV with batteries to low to run. (like 25V) Upgraded it to a lithium pack. When turned on, you get the reverse beep only. No other clicks, clacks or noises of actuation occur. The reverse buzzer stays on if you put it in reverse. But their is no power. The handheld scanner shows Precharge fail......a code I cannot find in anything, including the curtis manual for RXV with all the codes listed. Anyone else ever seen or heard anything like this?

Sounds like it is missing the precharge resistor. (goes across solenoid) I'm not an RXV expert but I believe that the RXV will have a precharge resistor.

Precharge function is integrated in the controller. Here are the potential issues:
1. Capacitor voltage below 75% of bat- tery voltage after precharge 2. Check battery voltage 3. Check battery / contactor wiring 4. Check contactor operation 5. Replace controller if failed |

If you swap B+ and B- accidentally you could blow up the precharge circuit inside the controller.
